At the event, Mr. Loi, EIU Council Chairman, said the university was established and invested by Becamex to perfect the leading corporation’s ecosystem. Therefore, the university is focused on training in health, management, engineering and technology to provide high quality human resources for the development of the business community and for Binh Duong province. EIU has developed an innovation ecosystem right at the university to meet the learning and research need of students and lecturers, to serve businesses, as well as bring new sources of knowledge and technology to startups.
In addition, the university is currently investing in developing the Vietnam – Singapore 4.0 Technology Development Center to support the transformation of labor-intensive production into knowledge-intensive and automated production. This aims to make more substantial contributions to the development of the province and surrounding areas, increasing added value.
In its development process, EIU also pays special attention to international cooperation activities to access to advanced achievements from reputable businesses and educational institutions for sustainable development. Over the years, the university has set up close connections with many partners from Korea, especially Chungnam National University and Daejeon University, welcomed many students in exchange and study programs.
The Daejeon Metropolitan Council delegation came to visit EIU faculties and units in the EIU Innovation Ecosystem such as the Becamex Business Incubator (BBI), EIU Fablab, Library, Vietnam – Singapore 4.0 Technology Development Center.
Mr. Lee appreciated the digital technology transformation activities and models that EIU applied for its learning and working environment to support students and faculties. He expected further cooperation opportunities between EIU and his council and universities in Daejeon.
