In the joyful and enthusiastic spirit of the Lunar New Year At Ty, on February 7th, Eastern International University (EIU) organized the “EIU New Year Event 2025” aims to summarize the achievements in the past year and at the same time implement the tasks in 2025.
The year 2024 marked significant milestones for EIU, achieving many remarkable accomplishments in teaching and learning activities, scientific research, developing a high-quality workforce, global integration and business engagement, education governance, ensuring educational quality, and fostering innovation, etc… The above results as well as many other results are the motivation for EIU to continue to strive more to promote achievements.

Notably, in 2024, EIU officially published the “Sustainability Report”, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable development. This report not only demonstrates the university’s strong commitment and responsibility toward sustainable development but also serves as evidence of its efforts in implementing sustainable practices, aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Within the report, EIU shares its achievements and development directions to promote sustainability values across all aspects, from education and scientific research to environmental and community-related issues. This marks an initial step in inspiring and encouraging participation from all stakeholders. It also presents an opportunity for EIU to strengthen its connections with faculty, staff, students, and both domestic and international partners, working together to achieve sustainable development goals.
Aiming for excellence in teaching and learning, EIU is committed to not only enhancing the quality of instruction but also improving students’ learning experiences in 2024. This is achieved through workshops and seminars on study methods and skills, the effective use of the online learning management system, and the implementation of new academic support services. Additionally, the university is strengthening internship and practical training opportunities at enterprises, hospitals, and within the community. At the same time, EIU promotes experiential and project-based learning, as well as learning for community service.
Also at the event, EIU hosted a seminar titled “Reflecting on the Journey of 2024 and Setting Directions for Activities in 2025”. This was an opportunity to look back on EIU’s 15-year journey of establishment and development, from its early days to the achievements it has attained over the years. Speaking at the event, Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – the President of EIU, extended his congratulations and best wishes for good health to all university leaders, faculty members, and staff on the occasion of the new year. On this occasion, the President shared EIU’s strategic directions for 2026-2030, emphasizing a student-centered approach in all university activities. Through this, EIU aims to enhance student’s learning experiences with internationally accredited programs and innovative teaching methods emphasizing experiential learning, ensuring that every graduate is well-equipped and adaptable in an ever-evolving global landscape.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Tan Loi – Chairman of the University Council of Eastern International University (EIU) – shared: “Today, we come together to welcome the year of At Ty 2025, not only to start a new year full of hope but also to express our gratitude for the dedication, passion, and sense of responsibility that each individual has contributed to EIU. The new year is not only a time for reflection but also an opportunity for renewal, innovation, and collective efforts to build a stronger future for EIU. That is why today’s event holds special significance. In addition to celebrating the new year, we are also launching a new approach to discussions – one where faculty members, staff, and university leadership can engage in open, constructive, and strategic dialogue.”
Entering 2025, EIU continues to affirm its mission of leading in education, scientific research, and international collaboration, guided by clear directions and a comprehensive strategy from the University Council and the Board of Presidents. New challenges lie ahead, but they also present opportunities for EIU to further innovate and grow stronger, striving towards a sustainable and prosperous future. The seminar was not only an occasion for faculty, staff, and employees to listen and learn but also a call to action – an encouragement for continuous efforts to build a strong EIU, reinforcing its value and stature within the national higher education system.

Hoạt động ý nghĩa này nhằm ghi nhận những đóng góp âm thầm nhưng bền bỉ của đội ngũ nhân sự, những người đã miệt mài làm việc để đồng hành cùng sự phát triển của EIU. Sự kiện diễn ra trong bối cảnh EIU đang chuẩn bị kỷ niệm 15 năm thành lập vào năm nay, đánh dấu chặng đường phát triển và khẳng định vị thế trong lĩnh vực giáo dục. Cây lưu niệm được trao không chỉ là món quà tri ân mà còn mang ý nghĩa biểu tượng cho sự phát triển bền vững, thể hiện tinh thần gắn bó lâu dài giữa Nhà trường và đội ngũ nhân sự.

As part of the program, EIU organized a Tree Planting Ceremony with the message of ushering in a promising beginning for a prosperous and sustainable new year. This activity not only contributed to raising environmental awareness but also demonstrated the strong bond among the university’s leadership, faculty, and staff. Following the ceremony, the EIU family gathered for a warm and friendly networking banquet. This was a meaningful occasion for leaders, faculty, and staff to connect, share, and inspire one another, setting the stage for a new year filled with opportunities, achievements, and memorable experiences.
