The US delegation visited all facilities under the EIU Innovation Ecosystem, including the library, and Fablab, then had an exchange with students. Ms. Burns shared a lot of useful information about developments in the global economy, educational policies and the semiconductor supply chain market in the United States – a hot issue that many students are interested in today.
She also expressed her interest in experiencing activities in Vietnam, meeting with Vietnamese people, and talking about cooperative relationships between the two countries.
For their part, the students gave her various questions about study in the US, its policy to support international students, and job opportunities in her country for students after graduation. They also asked her about the development trends in the electricity and electronics sectors, as well as opportunities for Vietnam in the coming time.
Her visit to EIU helped build up the US Consulate General’s relations with the university, Binh Duong province, and Vietnam as well, especially in education. It paves the way for stronger ties in the future.
The event also helped EIU students to obtain more knowledge, expand their understanding, and improve their English skills so that they can confidently communicate with international visitors.
