Recently, EIU students had the opportunity to meet and engage with the speaker, Ibnur Rashad, in a workshop “Design Thinking and Innovation.”
During the program, students had the chance to discuss the topic “Making Smart Cities WISE: How University Innovators Impact Your Future and Mine” with the speaker Ibnur Rashad. They listened to him share his projects during his time as a student at the National University of Singapore and Stanford University, such as volunteer projects in Vietnam, experiences addressing food challenges in India, and involvement in the Metaverse, Gaming, and Fintech sectors in a startup in Silicon Valley.
Through these stories, students gained new perspectives on life, entrepreneurship, and learned additional skills in scientific and technical management. This experience also helped them build confidence to pursue their passions and engage in projects with various organizations and businesses.
Interacting with EIU students, speaker Ibnur Rashad was impressed by their dynamism, enthusiasm, and their ability to communicate in English. The program not only provided an opportunity for students to update their knowledge and accumulate experiences but also served as a platform for them to network, make friends, and learn interesting aspects of culture and economics from different regions and countries.
