The study programs at the School of Computing and Information Technology focus on building steady qualification and practical skills, as well as English proficiency for students. This enables the students to adapt well and to be confident in an international working environment. With experienced and professional lecturers, a well-invested practical laboratory system, the School of Computing and Information Technology provides students with many opportunities to study and get access to the latest technologies worldwide. Students can also practice and develop problem-solving skills through projects throughout their studies and internship programs. We are located in the spectacular Binh Duong New City, 20 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City — in Binh Duong Province in the southeastern part of Vietnam. The university is a well-established and well-respected institution and is perfectly located for students to study and practice computer science, software engineering, computer networks and data communications, and information technology. The newly-formed School of Computing and Information Technology at EIU is designed to meet the technological needs of the rapidly growing industries in the province and entire Vietnam. The primary goals of this new School of Computing and Information Technology are: (1) work on student growth, success and achievement, (2) create an environment for faculty growth and professional development, (3) enhance and support diversity across the school and the university, (4) provide research opportunities for faculty and students, (5) improve professional collaborations across the globe and enhance the image, visibility, and academic reputation of the new school, (6) encourage university and community service, and (7) build strategic partnerships with regional, national, and international businesses and academic institutions.<\/p>\n

The School of Computing and Information Technology currently consists of two established and rapidly growing departments: The Department of Software Engineering and the Department of Computer Networks and Data Communications. A new Department of Computer Science is in the planning stage and will be proposed in the very near future to widen the academic scope and opportunities to Binh Duong provincial residents, Vietnamese citizens, and the international community. The software engineering program and the computer networks and data communications program are served by a group of highly dedicated, experienced, and competent lecturers who prepare our students for the professional career and higher education to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. The students in all academic programs are mentored by lecturers who bring scholarships and real-world applications into the modern classes and the technologically advanced laboratories. Our lecturers within the School of Computing and Information Technology are committed to providing a top-quality education at EIU and rewarding experience for our students in Vietnam and around the world.<\/p>\n

EIU provides modern facilities where both students and lecturers are fully engaged to create the best and most effective teaching and learning environment in the School of Computing and Information Technology. Students engage in experiential learning opportunities with new laboratory facilities along with a challenging and up-to-date curriculum in the EIU School of Computing and Information Technology. These unique learning experiences naturally turn into truly satisfying and highly successful professional and\/or academic careers.<\/p>\n
