[vc_row][vc_column][vc_wp_text]Last week, Eastern International University (EIU) participated in the International Education Conference \u2013 Learning Express (LeX) 2024 at Singapore Polytechnic. This year\u2019s conference was organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Singapore Polytechnic and the 10th anniversary of the Learning Express (LeX) community program between SP and its international partners.[\/vc_wp_text][vc_single_image image=”393292″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_wp_text]<\/p>\n
The EIU delegation participating in the conference<\/em><\/p>\n [\/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]EIU, with its vision to bring value to the community, contributed to the successful execution of the LeX 2024 program. EIU and SP students developed solutions that provided value to various user groups. EIU was invited as one of the international representatives to present solutions and share experiences at the Gallery Walk Exhibition, showcasing the Learning Express program over the past 10 years.[\/vc_wp_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”393296″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”393298″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_wp_text]<\/p>\n EIU faculty and staff gaining valuable knowledge on implementing Design Thinking in projects<\/em><\/p>\n [\/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]In order to offer more valuable international cooperation programs for our students, faculty, and staff, EIU actively participated in exchanges and networking with leaders and representatives from over 20 universities from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Asian countries to expand partnerships, not only between SP and its partners but also among various international partners within the LeX community.[\/vc_wp_text][vc_single_image image=”393294″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_wp_text]<\/p>\n EIU receiving a commemorative plaque for supporting Learning Express<\/em><\/p>\n [\/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]Additionally, during discussions on the LeX 2025 project using Design Thinking methodology, EIU, along with faculty and staff from universities in the region, analyzed and identified ideas to further improve the Learning Express program and provide practical value to participating students and the community in the future. This process covered preparing the mindset, understanding the context (Sense & Sensibility), identifying and empathizing with user needs (Empathy), ideation, and creating appropriate prototypes (Prototyping).[\/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]By participating in this International Conference, the EIU delegation has further contributed to increasing the university’s brand recognition and opened up additional exchange programs and diverse collaboration projects, bringing value not only to EIU and Singapore Polytechnic students but also to the broader community.<\/p>\n The Learning Express (LeX) 2025 program between Singapore Polytechnic and EIU will open its registration in a few months.
